SOLID FUEL STOVESMore Efficient:If you want to have a coal fire, but would like to get more from your fuel, then choose a solid fuel or multi-fuel stove. These stoves are so much more efficient than an open fire. An open fire may only be 15 to 20% efficient, which means that most of the good of the fuel is literally going 'up the chimney'! A quick calculation:Multiply room dimensions in metres - L x W x H and divide by 14 for average insulation to get the minimum kW (kilowatts) for the room.
