SMOKELESS FUELS

 SMOKELESS FUEL COMPONENTS:

Petroleum Coke -  This is a by-product of the processing of crude oils. It has a high calorific value (heat output). It must be blended to comply with Air Pollution Regulations in Ireland.

 Lignite- Otherwise known as 'Brown Coal'. We import this from Germany and sell it in the form of 'union nuggets'. It is also used with blends of other products as outlined below.

Ovoids - These are egg shaped fuels made from the residue of fuels. The ovoids we supply are manufactured here in Ireland at Arigna.

Anthracite - This is a natural smokekess fuel that is shiny in appearance.

OUR SMOKELESS FUEL RANGE:

BLUE DIAMOND:

This is a blend of petroleum coke and ovoids. This is available from your coalman in 40kg, 20kg and 10kg bags.

CLEAN FLAME:

This is a blend of petcoke and small ovoid (70g). It is available in 40kg, 20kg and 10kg bags.

 BANKING FUEL:

LIVE FLAME:

This is a blend of petroleum coke and union nuggets. This is available from your coalman in 40kg, 20kg and 10kg bags

COSY FLAME:

This is a specially manufactured ovoid to maximise the efficient burning of union coal nuggets. It is available in 40kg bags.

 REDFIRE ANTHRACITE:

Anthracite is a natural smokeless fuel, which is shiny in appearance. It can only be burned in enclosed appliances. Ours is of South African origin. This is available from your coalman in 40kg bags.

 PEARLS:

Blue Diamond  Pearls are an ovoid especially produced in Ireland for open fires. This is available from your coalman in 40kg bags.

SMOKELESS FUELS

There are a number of different types of smokeless fuels. There are naturally smokeless fuels, such as Anthracites and Petcoke, and manufactured fuels such as Ovoids.

We supply a mix of our own branded smokeless fuels, in both 40kg and 20kg bags, to your local merchant as well as within the smokeless zones.
